if your going for primes, 50mm 1.8 is a good choice. short of a 35mm 1.8, but the 35mm is more expensive…
i came from a 18-200… then i sold it,.. i made many wonderful photos with that lens..
currently i have 17-50mm f2.8, 80-200 f2.8 and 50mm f1.8… Pretty much everything i need. the 17-50 for daily use, the 80-200 for specialized portraits, mostly pag serious photoshoots.. the 50mm, well its just convenient kasi magaan…
in the end try maximizing your equipment first. focus on your skill.. a single lens has endless possibilities. I did a run before, a trip to canada and US for 2 weeks using only my 50mm lens and nothing more. Turned out really well, i’ve learned the strengths and weaknesses of that lens
